It's hard to believe that Audrey turned 2 yesterday! My how time flies. It doesn't seem very long ago when we were eating Thanksgiving lunch and then I went into labor later in the day.
We celebrated Audrey's birthday Mickey style. She has been really into Mickey Mouse lately so I attempted a Mickey cake. Frequently when we turn on the tv, she asks to watch Mickey. When we do put on Mickey for her, she watches it for a couple of minutes and then she is off to something else. She doesn't understand when she asks us 30 minutes later to watch Mickey, why we don't let her!
Audrey shows us everyday that she is getting older. She can now put on her shoes by herself, helps getting herself dressed, attempting potty training (she initiated it), saying new words everyday, loves being independent and doing things herself, loves to color, sleeping great in her big girl bed and she's learning to hold her own when playing/fighting with Emily!
She brings us so much joy and excitement. It's fun to see her smiling face when she wakes up in the morning.
Audrey got some great gifts including some Mickey stuff. Emily and her cousins decided to be judges and so they judged each of the gifts as Audrey unwrapped them. Someone gave her M&M's as part of her gift. If you notice the bottom left picture, she is telling me she wants to eat them. She didn't give up the package very easily! Thank you everyone for the great gifts and celebrating her special day with us.

Every time I go into the nursery, she hands me the Mickey Mouse book for me to read to her. If goofy or Pluto are on a page, she always wants to turn it back to the one with Mickey. Maybe I should move that book up to her new class :)
She is such a cutie!! I can't believe she is already two. Give her an extra hug from me. :)
